Hi,
I am having a ViperII card with the Savage2000
chipset, and am on a 2.2.16 with XFree86-3.3.6.
I was initially on XFree86-4.0.1, but realised
that the chipset was supported only by XFree86-3.3.6,
and hence moved to 3.3.6.
I do have a compiled version of v4l in the drivers
of X11. But when i launch something like xawtv, it
complains that the XVideo extensions are not found.
I do have the entry to load Module v4l in my
XF86Config file, but i still get the message.
When i start X, the server says, "error loading v4l",
but then v4l-config and everything else works fine.
Is there is anything i am missing or have to do, to
make things like xawtv get the XVideo extensions?
Any help or pointers would be very helpful.
