I've been using a usb Creative Webcam 3 (OmniVision 511) with
ov511.o (by Mark McLelland) on a 2.2.18. You can capture CIF,
QCIF, either YUV, RGB, ... And compression is almost working.
It's a V4L driver and there's no V4L2 interface yet. Check
webcam.sourceforge.net for more info.
