Hi Jon, don't know the camera by miself. But u could test if it listens on port 80 (http). It looks like she sends out the pictures over simple jpeg, so there's a chance that it answers over a html server.
But having a look at http://www.video4linux.net/camera-servers.htm shows me,that there's no web server included :( - u might try it anyway ... I don't think u have a chance to manage the other funkctions over Linux ( maybe with wine or something) - looks like a windows only program. One of the best ways should be to contact JVC directly, so they know that there are ppl who want to work with their product under Linux :).
