We are in a project where we are switching among 4 cameras using a single-bt878-based card, bttv.0.9.10, Linux 2.4.20, and trying to get as many fps as we can from each camera.
>From time to time (very frequently) the videos get shaky (up and down) and we assume the capture keeps switching between even and odd fields. Even though we only ask for the top field. We have tried several things (including both the mmap and read/write interfaces) to resolve the problem. We are running out of ideas and wonder if anyone has a clue for solving the charade.
