Thanks for you help! with the same hardware in MS Windows,it can capture and dispaly in color, so it's some problem of bttv driver, I use debian linux, kernel bf24-2.4.18, I heard from sb on internet after kernel 2.2.7(or other version), the bt878 based capture card can only capture and display in gray, it's realy? I use the xawtv to diplay and try every paramenter that can adapt, it still in gray! a lot of people has the same problem!
