I do not know if this will help, but I have attached my .xawtv file for you to use. It 
works fine under RH9 for me. (I have an AIW Radeon 7500.)

I figured out how to change channels with the up and down arrows and 
fine tune w/ left and right.  I saved a few channels w/ the channel 
editor even.  So far I have only gotten color right on about two 
channels with lots of adjusting and if I went up or down the dial and 
come back I get my adjustments aren't saved.  Even if I go to another 
channel and come back w/out changing contrast or color the channel is 
out of adjustment.  Is this normal?

   I also have a bar of static or parts of the channel image frozen at 
the bottom of the screen. How do I adjust this out and then save the 
settings?  Is there a more friendly frontend to xawtv?
