1. I have previously had xawtv and the dc10plus working fine (on a standard 2.4.20 vanilla kernel running redhat 9.0). I tried today to install the bigphysarea patch and the kernel compile seemed to go fine. I can cat /proc/bigphysarea/ and it says 1 block of 4096kB free. I have recompiled both the zoran driver and xawtv but now seem to get a weird error when trying to switch to grab display mode in xawtv.

xawtv3.88 output (i tried version 3.78 as well)
---------------------------------------------
This is xawtv-3.88, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20-bigphys)
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
no way to get: 384x288 16 bit TrueColor (LE)

i am using the following parameters (using the same script that came with the driver)
v4l_bufsize=1280 v4l_nbufs=2
and have added:debug = 2
to get the driver to display more info.

2. I'm also unsure if I am passing the zoran driver the correct parameters so that it will use a larger piece of memory now that the bigphysarea patch is running.
