I have one of those motherboards, and my bttv Pinnacle PCTV Pro is working 
perfectly in SuSE 8.2. I do know of two gotchas, though:

- - You will probably have to disable acpi as the implementation on these boards 
is buggy and will most likely cause problems. You need to add "acpi=off" to 
the kernel command line

- - I recommend going into the BIOS setup and disabling every onboard device you 
are not using. If you don't, you may have IRQ problems (I had to do this to 
get USB working)
