I installed Mandrake 9.1 on my machine, kernel 2.4.21. The version of bttv that is included is 0.7.100. There is a newer version, 0.7.107, that contains my card type in the card list (provideo PV150). It is a card with 4 bttv chips (4 inputs). So what I need to do install the newer version of bttv and load it into the kernel.
When compiling the bttv 0.7.107, they require to create a new directory /lib/modules/2.4.21-13mdkcustom where the new files are stored. The directory containing the older version is /lib/modules/2.4.21-13mdk. Is there a way to tell my machine to use the custom one instead of the other one? What are the commands?
I hope I gave enough details. If not, let me know. Thanks.
