One thing to check is that the files
in /lib/modules/(KERNEL)/v4l2 aren't
being overridden by other versions in /misc or /kernel/drivers/media/video

I have seen this problem with my card aswell..It seemed to be with
certain machines though. As I compiled the same version of saa7134 and
v4l2 on 2 different machines..one of the machines kept saying
"/dev/video0: device or resource busy", but the other machine, just
worked first go. I also swapped cards over in the machines to see if one
of thee cards was buggy, but it wasn't..

There seems to be a few driver issues with the saa7134 at the moment (im
still getting no sound most of the time).

I guess all we can do is wait ?

HI,

Can you like to tell us the detail steps which you have done, maybe

help you?

Someone can help me, please?

Ciao!
Gianfranco.

- Kernel 2.4.22
- v4l2 20030826 snapshot <----
- saa7134 0.2.8

I'm running Kernel 2.4.22-pre10, saa7134-20030806, and
v4l2-20030806 with no problems, if you want to back up to
something that works for now. I just tested v4l2l-20030828
with this, and it works too, but I was getting module dependency
errors with the lasts saa7134 snapshot. You might get away with
just intalling the older saa7134 snapshot with your configuration.
