I have QT Pro. V6.5  I only use it for compressing to .mov, or .mp4
for my videos.  It does the job fine, however I do get large file
sizes.  When I compare a mp4 to a wmv file (250kps music 32kbs 15fps)
I generally prefer the wmv format.  For the high end codecs, I use
DivX.

If you want to compare results, check out either episode 3 or 4 of my
Geocaching videozine.  They're available in mov, mp4, wmv, rm and avi
formats.  You can download, watch and compare.

Episode 3 is http://www.archive.org/details/IcenryesGeocachingVideozineEpisode3
here.
Episode 4 is http://www.archive.org/details/IcenryesGeocachingVideozineEpisode4
here.
