There is an 'Upload' function in WordPress. I used it to upload the 
JPG's of my movie files. It's a two-step process. (There may be plugins 
to change this, not sure.)

The current  version of WordPress should allow for multiple authors all 
using one blog, but there is also WordPress MU (Multi-user):

I think they plan on rolling multi-user functionality into a future version.
