I'm demoing the vided.org system here:
http://ag.vided.org/archives/325
It would be really cool if e.g. people from VlogEurope could use this to upload small clips, which will make it possible to make a VlogEurope documentary consisting of a lot of small clips at the end of the conference. And the cool thing is that anyone, even those not attending VlogEurope could do the editing. Online. Of course, you are more than welcome to try the system even though you don't attend VlogEurope....
You don't have to encode your videos, it will be done automatically by the server. It should accept most mpeg, quicktime, 3gp, mjpeg, avi, etc. formats from most cellphones, digital photo cameras, etc. Please upload _short_ clips, it will make it easier to edit. Max upload file size is about 30MB.
The videos will be hosted at my server at the internet connection of the University of Bergen, it's a pretty fast connection...
To register, go to:
http://vided.org/index.php?page=signup
I'll be logging activity which I might use as research material, which is why you have to answer a few survey questions.....
You'll _only_ find the signup URL here, it's still "closed" beta..... which reminds me to tell you that there's still some bugs, use with care :-)
Wish you all the best all VlogEurope attendants and all other vloggers!
