Hmm... well, I would say the opposite. My vlog is open to the public, and I'm lucky to get one comment a post. (Then again, read the other thread on females to get an idea of why I don't get comments...) My regular text blog is closed to the public--less than 50 people have access to read it--and I get lots more comments there.
I think tools like FireANT that allow people to view vlog posts one- after-another tend to curb people from making comments, because they can just sit on the couch and watch all the vlog posts without having to touch their keyboard. Want a funny visual?
