One reasonably cheap solution is to output the edited file back to MiniDV
tape. If you buy in quantity, tapes run about $2.50-3.00/each which
translates to much less than the $0.50/GB of data required in hard disk
storage. It's also more practical because the tapes aren't volatile the same
way a hard drive is.
