I was invited by a friend to a preview of a movie, "The Three Burials
of Melquiades Estrada", that overlapped with the airing of CSI. So I
recorded it and watched after midnight.

The story I think was good in the classical James M. Cain mystery
genre. A killer that is able to get away with his crimes, but gets
undone by his conscious. There was sufficient dialog and situations
for the actors to give dimension and interest to their characters.
But probably because of the constraints of time in TV and focus of the
direction (which emphasizes the shooting style, look, color schemes
and sets), it was somewhat flat and superficial.
