Alex Lindsay, formerly of Industrial Light and Magic, and founder of "The
Pixel Corps." is going to be making a special visit to NYC on Feb. 2nd to
demonstrate and discuss the Sony F-950 camera (the same type of camera used
in Star Wars Episode III) and its role in a tape-less green-screen visual
effects pipeline.  The F-950 is a state of the art camera that shoots in an
uncompressed 4:4:4 mode for near film quality.  In co-operation with Abel
Cinetech and Tekserve, we also may be able to demonstrate uncompressed
green-screen shooting using the new Panasonic HVX-200 HD Camera.
LOCATION:
Tisch School of the Arts.
721  Broadway, Lower Level, Room 006
Feb 2nd, 2006, 7-9 pm

Time permitting, Alex will also discuss and demonstrate numerous tips and
techniques for producing cinematic visual effects, including:

Green screen keying and compositing
Computer generated images and live action integration
Camera projection (creating 3D scenes from still images)
Matchmoving
Motion capture
And more ...

YOU MUST RSVP TO: ScottS.Broock at nick.com in order to attend this event. It is first come first served.
