That doesn't seem to be the case with the examples we're talking about here. Independent content needs a blog and some hosting. Available for free or about $5 - $10/month if you pay for it yourslef. They are more in the business of profiting off of user content as opposed to helping anyone. If that weren't the case they'd have much better terms of use - ie something like Ourmedia or Blip.tv.
