Hello,

I took a look at the Handbrake website -- http://handbrake.m0k.org/ -- and YES it too seems to be just a nice GUI built on top of FFmpeg, liba52, x264, etc.  Take a look at the bottom of that page (in the section labelled "Credits") to see it.

software ported over to MacOSX from BeOS. Whatever the case they are
