Great, Mike. I have just upgraded to 7.1 and I'm crunching our latest
episode into H.264. Doesn't seem to be encoding any faster ... but
that's small beer.

I was honestly starting to think Apple had nobbled Quicktime to stop
us coming up with our own iPod-compatible specs ... but judging by the
very fretful messages I kept getting recently, urging me to upgrade to
7.1, this was a pretty major cock-up that they were desperate to
rectify. They also stuffed up the iPod firmware the revision before
last, so it's all been a bit of a debacle obviously.
