This is only true given the assumption there are no direct flights to
a major city in Ohio.  I did some searching and there are
international flights directly into OH, and they're are roughly the
same price as getting to california.  (I didn't spend ALOT of time
comparing, but the rates I saw for a direct flight to Ohio vs. a
direct flight to San Fran were only off by about $100).
