Yeah.  It was funny as a punchline, the way he used it, but the
statement was retarded as they clearly took compressed footage,
perhaps directly from her site @ 320x240 and blew it up to put it on
televison @ either 720x480, 720x486 or even larger, depending on what
format they master the show to.

Actually, they may have even compressed it MORE to aid the punchline.

It's dumb because the original footage didn't come from some
ultra-low-end consumer camera.  If they had wanted to, they could have
requested the exact same footage in the same quality as the video of
Jon Stewart sitting there.
