Subject: [j2000] call for documentary ideas
To: Class of 2000 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

 Hi All,

My London based documentary production company StoryLabTV is – as always -
looking for strong documentary film ideas with an emphasis on foreign
stories. Great access that helps tell the world's big stories - or unusual
angles to those stories - is what we are after.

Big examples: 'inside Hezbollah's TV station,' 'inside Nigerian militant
groups,' 'inside the Saudi Royal family,'

Unusual examples: 'a week on the Weekly Standard Alaska Cruise' as a way to
talk about neo-con thinking.

Unfortunately the competition for the few TV slots that are available for
international films is enormous (almost 1000 production companies pitching
in London alone to the same 10 or so people) and only the best ideas with
the best access tend to get commissioned. Programs we pitch to include BBC
This World, PBS Wide Angle and Channel 4 Dispatches.

Along with access driven films we are also interested in big international
investigative projects.

If your idea leads to a successful commission you will either be hired to
help make the film or receive a lump sum compensation (whichever you
prefer).

Hope everyone is well!
