Hey David, Flash playback shouldn't be a problem on any Mac, no matter what PC nerds will tell you. Have you tried running it in different browsers? You could try CTRL+Clicking on a flash player and changing some of the things in the Settings and Quality menus. If that doesn't work, try running the uninstall program which you can download here http://tinyurl.com/2j9lt2 (if that link doesn't work, google Adobe Flash Uninstall) Then reinstall it. Shouldn't take too long. Quicker than messing about with trial and error, maybe.

I have a pretty new intel mac and all Flash video anywhere plays horrible on it. youtube, blip whatever, if there is no quicktime, i pretty much can't watch it. it's choppy and slow. all the same videos play fine on my PC. I think there was a setting on the macromedia sight that i changed a while ago but that didn't help. does anyone else have this problem?
