What you don't seem to understand is that DVD files are *COMPRESSED*. It's called MPEG-2. Check it out: <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-2>
This is how people are able to make DVDs. They *COMPRESS* the files and then use a program such as DVD Studio Pro to burn these files to a DVD.
