Using external mics with camcorders w/mic input < http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/find/newsLetter/Professional-Sound-for-Camcorders.jsp > I disagree with the sound article's comment that you can't get good sound without professional microphones. If you keep the camera within 3 feet of the speaking subject, and pay attention to the ambient sound of the location you choose, and if it's too loud, you're able to go elsewhere, why, getting great quality sound with just the camera works just fine. Interesting side note, B&H is making instructional videos to go along with their educational articles. They've even got RSS < http://public-xml.feedroom.com/public_rss/bhphoto_feeds.html> Very cool. Now, if they only had comments :) Jan -- The Faux Press - better than real http://feeds.feedburner.com/diaryofafauxjournalist - RSS http://fauxpress.blogspot.com http://wburg.tv aim=janofsound air=862.571.5334 skype=janmclaughlin [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
