It's EMI, not the RIAA as it turns out, but whoa is right.

The real message: no matter how big or small you are, don't you dare
facilitate video in your social media app, or we will bankrupt you.

Taken alongside the unbelievably invasive (to users) ruling in the
google case, this is really disturbing.
