Businesses will end up using less energy either because the price makes them change, they shrink due to less economic activity in general, or they go bust. I didnt look at the details of that 2020 datacentres use more energy than airlines prediction, but I wonder what economic realities its based on. The god of growth may be dead, in all realms but digital, and suffering. We'll lose some more video hosting companies as web 2.0 (subtitle: where's the revenue?) tries to weather the storm.
