There is an earlier 1950 Errol Flynn version of Kim, but the 1984 Peter O'Toole version appears to be in color. According to imdb.com<http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087557/>, Kim was originally broadcast on CBS in 1984. Perhaps it was shown on BBC at some point, but it doesn't appear to be a BBC production. Unfortunately, I'm only seeing used PAL / Region 2 formats available for the VHS & DVDs on these Amazon.uk websites. Probably what you've already run into. One of the IMDB reviewers comments on how difficult it is to find this title in the U.S.

I have a professor looking for this video which he thinks was produced by the BBC in 1984 starring Peter O'Toole. I did find one on Amazon with O'Toole but its black and white which makes me think it is earlier than 1984 and there is no mention of BBC.
