A local nonprofit that deals with children approached us with a question about using a line from a movie. The group would like to use the line from Casablanca, "Here's looking at you, kid," as the theme for an upcoming fundraiser. Is the dialogue from a movie copyrighted? Should we discourage them from using it?

It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
