Job Title: Video Assets Intern Job Location: Chicago, Illinois (River North) Department: Video Library and Interactive Department, AnswersMedia, Inc. Hours per Week: Approx. 3-5 days/week, 8:30am-5pm Duration: Summer 2010, start immediately Description: The Video Assets Intern will assist the Video Assets Manager in maintaining a new and growing library of physical and digital assets. The library intern will also assist with the interactive department. Duties will include but not be limited to: * Library data entry and cataloging * Tape labeling * Logging b-roll and transcribing interviews * Locating and returning materials for AnswersMedia staff * Organizing and sorting video and digital assets * Working with proprietary web platform and CMS; uploading, tagging and cataloging online content * Site testing and quality assurance * Working the front desk, answering the phone, greeting guests, handling mail * Client services: ordering and setting up food for clients, stocking supplies, local errands Required Skills * Current student or recent graduate (within last year) from library related program * Experience in a library or information center * Sincere passion for video and digital asset management * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel * Flexible adapter * A punctual, detail-oriented team player who can adapt to a high-paced work environment * Superb research skills * Excellent use of the English language and grammar * Chicago area residency; relocation expenses are not offered Desired Skills * Knowledge of television or video production * Interest and experience in web development * Knowledge or interest in health content * Site testing and quality assurance * CMS troubleshooting * Web analytics (Omniture Site Catalyst, Lime Light) * Knowledge of ScheduALL or Nesbit MLS Please do not apply if you are looking for work in video production; this is a library/information center internship.
