When we publicize the showings through the local Indian restaurants, our
Bollywood attendance improves!

When I contacted this company http://www.reliancebigpictures.com/contactus.html
via email to request non-theatrical public performance rights for 3 Idiots,
they asked for $750 to provide a 35mm film print to us. When I replied that
this was a non-commercial screening at a public library and we could screen
from our own DVD, they did not respond.

I also contacted Yash Raj Films at
http://www.yashrajfilms.com/ContactUs/YRFContactUs.aspx?Param=E47A0B40-B7D0-4DD7-8E46-BF1D420DD05A
to request PPR for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi which they gave to us for $350. Based
on attendance at previous screenings, I expected between 30 and 50 attendees,
but only eleven people came to Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Subject: [Videolib] PPR - Indian features

Hi all,

I'm working with a group on campus interested in showing films from India. Does
anyone have leads for the specific films below? If not those, is there a
Swank-like company that deals with current/popular Indian film PPR?

· 3 Idiots (2009)
· Sankarabharanam (1979)
· Roja (1992)
· Taare Zameen Par (2007)

Thanks!

related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
