I assume it is at McCormick place but you can get there on the bus or train.
You can also find the nearest ALA hotel and sneak on the shuttle.

I didn’t realize it was in Chicago. Well, my question then is, why shouldn’t I
be there? The ALA is only 3 blocks away from my office. Maybe I’ll see some
Video libbers there! Would love to see some other media libarians.

Subject: [Videolib] ALA-midwinter

Hi All,
Landmark Media is thinking of attending mid winter ALA in January (who wouldn't
want to get out of Chicago in January?). Would love to know from all of you
who usually attends in the way of media exhibitors and buyers. We know it is
not as heavily attended as mid summer but can you give some good reason to be
there? Would appreciate any info you care to share.
Thanks
Bev

related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
