They must be applied with care. We've had a few problems, but not enough
to warrant dropping their use.

We've had a couple of instances where labeled DVDs (we apply a ring
label to DVDs) have gotten stuck in Mac computers that have slots (not
trays) for discs, both laptop and desktop.

In a word-yes.

Balance can be thrown off, and sometimes the increased thickness causes

Has anyone heard of tattle-tape making DVDs unreadable by laptops?

Thanks,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
