Gary,

I did not mean to start a dispute with my reply earlier. I took it as a
pretty general question regarding out of print videos in total.

I find your comment about " lots of OP distributors ' interesting. I can
tell you that Music Hunter has been serving public institutions since 1945 &
I personally have been in this business since 1960. We deal with 15,000 +/-
labels in audio/video product and I presently know of only 3 meaningful " OP
distributors " and to my knowledge none of them deal with libraries.

If you are speaking of retailers, online or otherwise, yes there are likely
more that handle OP product.

Just trying to clear the cloudy water for readers here.

Respectfully,

Jay

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
