Word on the street is that the problems are due to the shadowy Occupy
Videolib group!

Hi all

Lori Widzinski has asked about the sudden and inexplicable cutting out
of
videolib...don't get me started! UCB's email systems have been
experiencing fatal crashes and hiccups for the past two weeks. Videolib
is tied to that system. Things are provisionally up and running now and
videolib should be online...at least for the present.

Yet another bit of lovely budgetary fall-out in sunny California.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
