announcing the CIP Biennial Symposium June 6-8.}



The Center for Intellectual Property (CIP)  will hold its 2012 Biennial
Symposium - Adventures in Copyright: Navigating Your Way Through
Intellectual Property, June 6–8 at the Baltimore Convention Center in
Baltimore, Maryland.    Lawrence Lessig, Harvard Law Professor, will
deliver the keynote address on Wednesday, June 6.   Peggy Hoon, Scholarly
Communications Librarian for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte
(UNCC) and Karyn Temple Claggett from the U.S. Copyright Office will also
address symposium attendees.



The symposium features pre-symposium seminars, innovative and comprehensive
sessions and panel discussions, a career fair and so much more!  The
symposium is designed for professionals involved in managing and
disseminating creative works in the digital environment.  Please view the

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues 
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, 
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and 
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective 
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication 
between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and 
distributors.
