For advertising, there's the classic "Sweet Smell of Success," but my favorite quirky, indicting film is "How to Get Ahead in Advertising" with Richard E. Grant. Re: music, there's so many. "Smithereens," "Times Square" "Desperately Seeking Susan" "This is Spinal Tap." Just way too many to name. You should look in Halliwell's or the back of Time Out for subjects. Television, that semi good film with Jim Carey where he lives his life being filmed, there was another variation on that theme made a couple of years later, just cannot think of the titles.
