Hi Lisa

Here's a series that deals with all these issues:

FUTURE FOOD<http://bullfrogfilms.com/catalog/ffs.html> ( 6 x 30 mins series) -
With 9 billion people on planet Earth in the year 2050, this 6-part series
examines how we will feed ourselves in the 21st century.

Amongst the oldies, but still unfortunately highly relevant, films on the
subject are:

SEEDS<http://www.bullfrogfilms.com/print/seeds.html> - In developing countries
indigenous varieties of food crops are rapidly disappearing from genetically
rich areas, replaced by seeds produced by multinational chemical companies,
seeds now bred to be dependent on their agrichemicals.

SOWING FOR NEED OR SOWING FOR
GREED<http://www.bullfrogfilms.com/catalog/sow.html> - The connection between
multinational chemical companies and the foods they want us to eat.

Best,
     John Hoskyns-Abrahall

Subject: [Videolib] Videos for a Seed Library

Hello all from Canada's sunny Okanagan -

This is my first opportunity to tap into the wisdom of this group. I have a
request to source videos on seed saving -- seed literacy -- food security.

These would complement our Vernon Campus's seed library.

Thank you for your suggestions.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
