To the "plectrum/dedillo" list could be added Mersenne's four course mandore, where he mentions the possibility of a plectrum tied to a finger. (On a plectrum instrument this would also have the effect of freeing the thumb enabling the playing of chords with holes on this mandore and four course citterns.)
