Now for something completely different.

I have just placed on my [1]www.earlyguitar.ning.com site what I think
may be the first modern edition of the four Italian alfabeto songs in
Sanseverino's "El segundo libro de los ayres" printed in 1616.

Most of the songs in the book are in Spanish and someone else may do an
   edition of them later.

One of the Italian songs is for solo voice and three are in three parts
   and all are rather attractive.

The book as a whole sheds a lot of interesting light on Sanseverino.

As ever, comments, queries and corrections are very welcome. It is
surprisingly difficult to do things like this accurately - I have gone
through it several times but there are probably things that have been
   missed.

I have also updated my profile a little - as there was a note from Rob
asking me to state my ineterest in this site!
