Just as a matter of interest - the works in Granata's 1680 and 1684 books are for 2 violins and bass although the string parts are not included in the main part of the volume and the first violin parts are missing from surviving copies.
Granata does say in his lengthy introduction Troverai ancora molte suonate concertate `a due Violini, e Basso, & ancora si possono suonare `a Chittara sola, & in questo devi osservare l'istesse regole. You will also find several "concertos" for 2 violins and bass and it is also possible to play these as guitar solos observing in this the same rules (as described before). This does rather suggest to me that the guitar part is separate but doesn't rule out the possiblility that the guitar might realize the bass part when playing in consort.
