Seems good for me.
But perhaps there is something more standard than a viking's property.
I see LC_MEASUREMENT variable which seems to control this aspect, but
I don't know how to use it (which standard function already convert
metric value to any other depending on this variable).

Feel free to share your work (even in progress work).
