I'm not sure they're secrets...just obscure ways of assembling
common stuff to scratch a peculiar itch. Things of deeper secret
include various humor included in the helpfiles, such as

and the line above

which may be new as of vim7, though I'm not positive.
I really enjoyed reading your mail -- not only for the vimy
