Vim7: Spell checking not working with ft=mail

Hi,

  I'm using Vim 7.0.10 and wanted to try out the new on-the-fly
spell checking.  It works great, but as soon as I set ft=mail, it stops
working (no highlighting anymore).

  Any clues why?
