Well something with the version on www.vim.org is wrong ... at least in
combination with my system/configuration.

I've just discovered, that ^ and ´ behave the same way with the orginal gvim
7.0. So it's maybe a generel problem of such dead keys.

With vim 6.3 and 6.4 I can't reproduce the problem.

        [g]vim -N -u NONE -i NONE

thanks
But it doesn't change anything for gvim 7.0 with no patches.

But it's getting harder to reproduce it. It seems that `+<space> works
normally, until something special happens. And then it doesn't work any
more. Sometimes I can enter a lot of text and it still works and suddenly...
And sometimes I start gvim with the above command line and `+<space>
doesn't work at all.
Fortunately it works with the currect patch level.

"Something" in the 150-some patches to date must have fixed it. You can see the table of contents of the patches as the file http://ftp.vim.org/pub/vim/patches/7.0/README
