Why would it? Vim is not bash. The shell in which you run a console vim should have already sourced bash startup files as appropriate (see the INVOCATION section of the bash manpage), and the GUI vim couldn't care less about what you might put in some random shell startup file. -- Marc Wilson | Why do we have two eyes?
