I did an svn checkout and then a "make" and then a "make install" and I think it worked ok.
My http://users.skynet.be/antoine.mechelynck/vim/compunix.htm might help you some; though you would have to take into account the differences between my Linux and your MacOsX. Just adding a few links in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin, such as ln -sv /Applications/Vim.app/Contents/MacOS/Vim vim ln -sv vim view ln -sv vim vi ln -sv vim vimdiff ln -sv vim gvim ln -sv gvim gview ln -sv gvim gvimdiff etc., might be enough.
