Yes, there are tools, but I had it open in vim for editing already,
anyways.

Plus, the \{- is something I've been missing out on for a long time, so
I'm glad I got it sorted out now.

Have you considered using a tool that is designed to fix up your html?
Such as HTML Tidy?
