In fact, I have the same problem with LaTeX documents: For instance, \"a (or even "a with German package on) would be ä, but this is not recognized by the spell checker. So, 'ändern' (German) is recognized as being correct, but '\"andern' or '"andern' is not. I don't know if there are solutions provided for mapping such masking in their context (HTML, LaTeX, etc.) Anyone who has a workaround or solution? Claus
